First week in the shop

We have had a wonderful first week at My Kind of Cake in our new shop in Mytholmroyd.  The people of Mytholmroyd are loving the cakes, which is absolutely brilliant; a Fat Friday was had by many!  This week we had several seasonal specials including apple cake, plum cake, and pear and almond, all of which went down really well.  There will be new products along the way, including some specials for Hallow'een, and some savoury pies, including cheese and onion.  Everything plant based and vegan, as always!  We look forward to seeing you soon.

We had a visit from some fabulous customers from Ripponden, who made a video of us for their Facebook feed.  Check out the video on Facebook.com/cookingwiththekinlans.  Here's the link  https://www.facebook.com/cookingwiththekinlans/videos/335992393400676/

My Kind of Blog

By Helen Taylor 09 Oct, 2016
It's a proud moment, just discovered that the Fat Gay Vegan (@fatgayvegan) blogged about us!  Way back on 21st September, the day after we opened!  You can read his post here .  Thank you, sir, that's a lovely discovery after a busy Sunday morning in the shop and a (hopefully!) busy Monday to come tomorrow.  Come and see us some time.

Mytholmroyd is getting plenty of activity happening now that everyone is returning to their homes and shops after the floods last December.  We're all looking forward to a beautiful autumn season and a magical Christmas.  But, before that, spooky happenings to attend to for Halloween...

Do you have any family and friends who are vegan, or have a dairy or egg intolerance? It's often hard to find something everyone can eat. Our cakes are suitable for vegans, those who are lactose-intolerant, dairy-intolerant and those who are allergic to eggs, because our products contain no animal products. We also have something for gluten-free AND vegan people: our cheesecakes are gluten free as well as being animal-free!

You can order a lovely cake or gorgeous cheesecake for birthdays, family visits, parties, teatime... Visit our new shop at 13 New Road, Mytholmroyd, where you can buy and order for collection. We can deliver it to you if you are local to Hebden Bridge. We can post cakes via first class Royal mail, too.

We do a range of classic flavours; Lemon or Coffee & Walnut are always favourites. Pop along to our online shop to see what's available.

It's official, we're opening a bricks-and-mortar shop!  No, not selling building materials, selling CAKES!  We now have our very own premises in Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.  We are busy painting and preparing the new place, and hoping to open in August...!  We'll be selling our cakes, cheesecakes, and more home made plant-based treats and staples.
